Technology and Voting

     This evening I have been following the election and have noticed, as in past years, questions of voter fraud.  It seems that some of the electronic voting machines have been acting questionably (see below).  What is interesting to me is the nostalgia for paper ballots.  It is very rare for modern individuals to actually miss simple technologies, yet here is a case of just that.

    For this class, I posit two questions:

"Is it a good thing that elections are becoming more automated?"  

and

"Is this story a good example of technology and progress being harmful?"
